CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: MARIA JACOBS CD RELEASE SHOW AT THE MET
Cleveland native Maria Jacobs will hold her official CD release party at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, August 3rd at 7:00 pm. A former traffic reporter and disc jockey, she lived in Los Angeles for eleven years and sang The Langham Huntington, (formerly the Ritz Carlton,) The Four Seasons in Westlake Village, Chaya of Beverly Hills, and The Torrance Civic Center to name a few. She has released four albums: No Frills, Free As A Dove, Chasing Dreams, and Art of the Duo. Maria also opened for jazz trumpeter Chuck Mangione at The Coach House and in Columbus, Ohio. She was featured with the opening act for Bob Dorough in Columbus as well. Most recently, Art of the Duo is also receiving wonderful reviews nationwide. In fact, her last three albums are all receiving national distribution and radio airplay. Her release from Free As A Dove, (Pour Me A Cup Of Yesterday), can be heard on 107.3 the WAVE, and Maria also wrote the theme song for a sitcom on the web, So This Is Love. Stay tuned for Maria's fifth solo album, featuring her band 4Get The Girl. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
