CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: LIANNE MARIE DOBBS ENCORES EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN
Lianne Marie Dobbs brings back her show 'Everything Old Is New Again' for an encore performance to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Sunday, July 28th at 7:00 pm. A sassy brunette with a vintage soul, Lianne Marie Dobbs sings beautiful melodies from days gone by, with wit and vocal grace. Music Direction by Bill Zeffiro and Direction by James Beaman. Ms Dobbs is originally from San Francisco, CA, where she learned to love the beautiful tunes of great American composers thanks to 42nd Street Moon - a renowned SF theatre company who performed "lost" musicals in concert. After performing 'lesser known' gems by Porter, Gershwin, Rodgers and Herman for several years, Lianne Marie gained attention as both a young vocalist and actress - receiving Bay Area Theatre Critics' Awards and soon soloed Gershwin tunes with the San Francisco Symphony opposite Jason Danieley. Lianne Marie has since performed leading roles in musical theatre classics Off-Broadway, National Tours, and at renowned regional theaters in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Detroit, Houston, and Boston. Lianne Marie has also understudied Kerry O'Malley four Christmas seasons as the leading lady, Betty Haynes, in the new production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
