CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: TERESE GENECCO & HER LITTLE BIG BAND - FINAL SHOW OF SERIES AT IRIDIUM
The multi-award-winning, multi-talented vocalist, bandleader, and comedian Terese Genecco will be ending the longest-running nightclub act on Broadway, when she appears on Tuesday, July 30th at IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121) as she had done every month - for more than 72 performances - since her opening night in March of 2009. Her special guests for this show are Ilene Kristen & Geoff Gallante performing 'Cheek to Cheek' with Rossano Sportiello & Nikki Parrott. Her brand new live CD was recorded at The Iridium on October 12, 2011 and can be found at www.CDBABY.com. Genecco has appeared in major music venues, performing arts centers and jazz festivals around the world since her cabaret debut in 2003 when she became San Francisco's "Entertainer of the Year." After garnering a Back Stage Bistro Award, 2 MAC Awards, and being named one of the Top Ten Best Cabaret shows of the year by Time Out New York Magazine in 2006 and again in 2007, Genecco wrapped up a year-long run at San Francisco's premiere nightclub, The Rrazz Room, in 2008 and relocated to New York City where she has continued to earn critical acclaim, another Bistro Award, two more MAC Awards (for Major Artist & SHOW OF THE YEAR) and a rabid fan following in her open-ended run of shows at The Iridium with her stellar 8-piece "Little Big Band." There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
