CABARET TODAY IN L.A.: KEISHA D MAKES HER SOLO DEBUT AT NEWMAN THEATER
On Sunday, July 28th at 2:00 pm, local singer Keisha D will make her solo debut at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER THEATRE (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731 - ) as part of Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Series. The show's title, "At Last" comes in response to the repeated requests from her many fans asking when she is going to do a solo concert. Keisha has appeared in many musical reviews and entertains at weekly performances in local clubs, restaurants and nightspots but this will mark her first show of this type. Keisha recently played Melpomene in "Zanadu" at Palm Canyon Theatre and also won Best Vocalist in the 2008 McCallum Theater's Open Call Competition. An avid believer of giving back, Keisha often headlines benefits for various Valley charities and is a featured vocalist at her church and others throughout the desert. Joining her will be musical director, Charlie Creasy, whose worked with Keisha to bring together music from several genres and capitalize on her extraordinary voice, from soft and romantic as in the title song "At Last", to the strong and powerful Dream Girls hit "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going". There is a $10 cover.
