NYC TONIGHT: A NIGHT OF JAZZ WITH JULIE EIGENBERG & YARON GERSHOVSKY
THE BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592) presents a Beautiful Night of Great Jazz with vocalist extraordinaire Julie Eigenberg accompanied by Grammy Award winning pianist and composer Yaron Gershovsky, the musical director for the world famous Manhattan Transfer on Monday through Sunday, July 1st through 7th with shows at 8:00 & 10:30 pm. Together with Boris Kozlov on Bass, Benny Koonyevsky on Percussion and special guest World Guitar Master Andres Laprida, they bring you Julie's soulful interpretations with some swinging fun and jamming original songs. She co-wrote "Why Not!", and Yaron Gershovsky did the arrangement, for which the Manhattan Transfer won the 1983 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal of a Group, on Atlantic Records. They will explore new arrangements of familiar standards and Brazilian classics along with original songs from Julie's Polystar Co. Japan , Ltd. recording, produced and written with David Spinozza. There is a $10-$15 cover.
