NYC: TERUO NAKAMURA RISING SUN BAND AT BIRDLAND - ONE NIGHT ONLY
The Teruo Nakamura Rising Sun Band will perform at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, July 1st at 7:00 pm. Members of the band include Teruo Nakamura - Bass, Danny Walsh - Saxophone, Jimmy Sidney - Piano and Mike Flythe - Drums. Teruo Nakamura is a jazz bassist who made one classic album in the 1970s entitled UNICORN, thereafter moving into a kind of very smooth and polished DX7 jazz. Nakamura's career has mainly been conducted in New York with the likes of Steve Grossman, Lenny White, Alphonze Mouzon and Hubert Eaves. There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
