CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
THE NEW YORK SHEET MUSIC SOCIETY ) established in 1980, continues it's 2011-2012 Season on Saturday, March 9th at LOCAL 802 MUSICIANS' HALL (322 West 48th Street, NYC) with "The Songs of Russ Kassoff". The event opens at 12:30 pm with a flea market where you can buy and/or trade sheet music and memorabilia. The show runs from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. The performance features Russ Kassoff. Russ is an accomplished jazz pianist, conductor, composer, orchestrator and arranger whose varied talents are valued in the music world. Deirdre Broderick, lyricist and sometimes writing partner will join him. Catherine Dupuis, jazz vocalist, will be on hand to sing the songs that they have recorded. You can join the society online at http://www.nysms.org for only $50 per year, entitling you to nine fabulous programs/meetings and nine lively newsletters from October through June. Non-member guest fee is $10.
