CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) presents BACKSTAGE, Broadway's Tuesday night cocktail party/songfest, hosted by Susie Mosher at 10:30 pm. Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Mosher guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting. Special guests from hit Broadway shows drop in to perform. Members of the "Backstage repertory company", featuring some of New York's most exciting musical theatre talent, are on hand each week to sing everything from Schwartz to Sondheim. Special guest stars on March 5th include performances by Adam Feldman (President of the New York Drama Critics' Circle and the Theatre and Cabaret critic for Time Out New York), Stone and Stone (comedy duo seen on NBC's "Last Comic Standing"), Becca Ayers (from Broadway's The Addams Family, South Pacific, Les Miserables, Avenue Q), Cortney Wolfson (from Broadway's The Addams Family & Les Miserables and National tours of The Addams Family and Legally Blonde), Ben Roseberry (from the Broadway & National Tour of Disney's The Lion King and the National Tour of Rent and Off-Broadway's Fugitive Songs), Rachel Filsoof (from Oxygen Network's "The Next Big Thing" and Paramount's "Mean Girls"). No cover charge, $20 food/drink minimum.
