PALM SPRINGS, CA: DERRIKI LEWIS AND VICKI KNIGHT COME TO ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATER
The "Sundays In Summer" Cabaret Series, now in its 6th season, kicks off the first of their 2:00 pm matinee shows on Sunday, April 26th at 2:00 pm at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731), with a special show starring two local performers, Vicki Knight and Derrik Lewis in "I Remember It Well". This special show will be followed by a reception with Vicki and Derrik. The series is presented by Les Michaels and will run through October 25, 2015 with a different performer every Sunday at 2:00 pm. Known as the 'Songbird Of The Valley", Vicki Knight is a former Fabulous Palm Springs Follies star with many local credits but is especially well-known in her home town of Winnipeg, where she returns often to headline shows. Derrik Lewis' career spans 50 years, from the stage, Hollywood films, and the TV series, "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea". Locally he's starred in numerous productions at Palm Springs Theatre, produced the successful "Musical Chairs" Series, and performs on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Coral Seas Lounge at Tropicale in Palm Springs. Both performers are multiple Desert Theatre League award-winners who first performed together 15 years ago and are pleased to reunite in this sentimental journey of songs from days gone by. The award-winning musical director, Johnny Morris and his Trio will accompany Vicki Knight and Derrik Lewis. Tickets for this show only, are $15 cash only at the box office, which opens at 1:00 pm and includes the reception.

Ria Carey & Don L., local celebrities in the piano bar circuit and the San Diego Theatre Community, perform on Sunday nights at MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500) from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. Ria is known for her sultry alto belt and comic one liners and Don L. for his amazing tenor and piano skills. Together, their dynamic harmonies inspire audience participation and create a unique atmosphere of musical moments. With powerful renditions of Country, Soft Rock, Pop, Motown, Classical Standards and Broadway Showtunes, they have been referred to as "the human jukeboxes." No cover.

"Our Name Is Barbra 2015: A Benefit For Project Angel Food" will be presented at ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE (1714 Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA - 323-669-1550) on Sunday, April 26th at 7:00 pm. The event is hosted by Shelly Goldstein, Maryjo Mundy, And Clifford Bell. The cast is made up of great singers From TV, Broadway and Cabaret featuring Sally Kellerman, Holly Woodlawn, Maria Mckee, Jimmy James, Julie Garnye, Alex Mohajer, Barbra By Halstead, Keri Kelsey, Dana Meller, Mark Arthur Miller, David Zimmerman and just added: Performances By Chambers, Herbert & Ellis , Sherri Lewis, Gabriela Vahanian and Keith Broden. There will be a special birthday within a birthday celebration of Bob Esty - Producer/ Composer/ Arranger and Occasional Barbra Collaborator. The event is produced and directed by Clifford Bell. Billy Cobham;s SPECTRUM 40 moves into CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Friday through Sunday, April 24th through 26th at 8:30 pm. Ever since his breakthrough in the early 1970s - as a founding member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, and as a drummer/ leader whose recordings (such as Spectrum) and powerful, complex style of play exerted a strong influence on the course of jazz and jazz-fusion, Billy Cobham has remained a tireless musical explorer. Panamanian by birth, a New Yorker by upbringing, and a resident of Switzerland for more than 25 years, Cobham has pursued an ever-broadening, ever-deepening engagement with the world not only as a master drummer and percussionist but as a composer, producer, educator, and clinician who gives service through music even as he constantly expands his personal creative expression. There is a $30 cover.

Tony and Olivier Award winner, Alan Cumming, will bring his acclaimed one-man show, Alan Cumming: Uncut, to FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) for two performances on Sunday, April 26th with shows at 4:00 & 7:00 pm. Currently reprising his Tony Award-winning performance as the Emcee in Cabaret on Broadway, Uncut is an evening of song and stories from Scotland's beloved man-child. Cumming will be joined on-stage by his Emmy Award-winning musical director Lance Horne and cellist Eleanor Norton. Alan Cumming has performed to sold-out audiences across the globe and will have recently completed the return to his legendary performance of the Emcee in Cabaret on Broadway for which he won the Tony and every other available award when he made his Broadway debut in 1998. He will also have just completed his sixth season as Eli Gold in the CBS hit drama "The Good Wife," for which he has been nominated for multiple Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG, Critics' Choice and Satellite awards.
