NYC: ERIC MICHAEL GILLETT: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD

Eric Michael Gillett brings to life the Wit and Wisdom of Noel Coward in his new show at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances scheduled for Mondays, October 27th, and November 3rd - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Rick Jensen with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The epitome of wit and sophistication, Sir Noel Coward's storied career spanned more than half a century. In Man About Town, award-winning cabaret artist Eric Michael Gillett focuses on the music and lyrics of the man known as the Master. After acclaimed evenings dedicated to Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Craig Carnelia, Lorenz Hart, and his revue in development, The Amanda McBroom Project, Man About Town allows Eric Michael to focus an entire evening on the wit and wisdom of one of the twentieth century's most admired and brilliant artists. From "What's Going to Happen to the Tots," "Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington" and "Uncle Harry" to "Come the Wild, Wild Weather" and "London Pride," Man About Town explores the Noel Coward musical legacy in all of its considerable glory. Eric Michael Gillett is known as a director, an actor, a singer, and a teacher. He is the recipient of both the MAC Award for Outstanding Direction and the Dick Gallagher Award, bestowed by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, for his unique contributions to the art of cabaret. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: "THIS IS YOUR NIGHT JOSEPH MACCHIA" AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) and Producer Sue Matsuki present "This Is Your Night Joseph Macchia" on Monday, October 27th at 7:00 pm with an all-star cast from Cabaret & Broadway. This is Your Night! is hosted by Metropolitan Room Managing Partner, Bernie Furshpan, and profiles a guest honoree who has contributed in some significant way to the NYC Entertainment Industry. It can include, but not limited to: photographers, writers, bloggers, press, promoters, management, publicists, directors, musical directors, producers, etc. The show presents a gift to the honorree, and includes a line-up of entertainment professionals who will share stories, song and comedy about their experiences and ends with a grand finale, a reunion. Scheduled to appear are Adrian Bailey, Aaron Lee Battle, Brenda Braxton, Frank Dain, Tom Gamblin, Marla Green, Stacey Todd Holt, Tanya Holt, Liz McKendry, Michael Lewis Mejia, Doreen Montalvo, T. BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END will now be held every MONDAY night,at THE WEST END(955 West End Avenue, NYC - 212-531-4759) from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (signup after 6:30 pm). An open mic with multi-award winning hosts Sarah and Craig bring the ultimate New York experience to the Upper West Side with all kinds of talent singing all genres of music -Broadway, Pop, Jazz, Classical, all are welcomed. NYC: CHRIS BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW 

Chris Barrett has returned to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE(313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) where he is at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays in an open ended run. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge

NYC: MELBA MOORE'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT THE MET

THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) will hold a special Birthday Celebration for the legendary Melba Moore on Monday, October 27th at 9:30 pm. American Rhythm & Blues singer and actress Melba Moore is a four-time Grammy nominee and the winner of the 1970 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, for her performance as Lutiebelle in Purlie. With a total of eleven top ten U.S. hits on the Billboard charts over the past 40 years, both singles and albums, Melba Moore continues into the 21st century as one of pop music's most enduring artists. Melba Moore has received honorary degrees in Humanities from Florida A&M University and from her alma mater, Montclair State. After her success at the Cafe Carlyle in April 2011 in a cabaret act called Forever Moore, she has a new R&B album forthcoming, her first in twenty years, by the same title. Her single, "Love Is," is now available on iTunes. She continues to perform and work on her one-woman play (a development of Sweet Songs of the Soul) called Still Standing: The Melba Moore Story. There is a $32.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JON PETERSON: "HE WROTE GOOD SONGS" THE STORY OF ANTHONY NEWLEY

On Monday, October 27th at 9:00 pm there will be a special performance of Jon Peterson's "He Wrote Good Songs" at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590 - ). Written and performed by Peterson, "He Wrote Good Songs" is the story of Anthony Newley, the legendary British actor, singer, song-writer, director. The show is a marvelous tour de force performance, a moving portrayal of highs and lows in the life of the multitalented man: his turbulent life, his many loves, the desperation of a man innately wise to the charade that is show business. Newley was a man possessed with too many talents. This show includes twenty of Newley's incredible songs driving home this tale of a man inspired, a show business legend. The Musical Director is Bruce Barnes. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: JEREMY JORDAN MAKES NYC CABARET DEBUT AT 54 BELOW

Jeremy Jordan, star of Broadway, film, and television makes his New York City solo cabaret debut at 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday through Friday, October 27th through 31st at 7:00 pm. . Recounting iconic and deciding moments from his budding career, Jeremy performs the songs that have defined his swift rise to stardom. Selections include music from Broadway's Newsies, NBC's "Smash," and his upcoming film The Last 5 Years, along with many of his own personal favorites. Often more comfortable on stage as a character than himself, this bright young artist steps into the solo spotlight for the very first time to tell us a bit of his own fascinating story. There is a $55-$70 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: JULIA MATTISON IS RUBY MANGER

Join fictional Broadway diva Ruby Manger as she makes her long-awaited return to the New York stage at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday, October 27th at 9:30 pm. Julia Mattison stars as Ms. Manger, an enigmatic Broadway icon, famous for such roles as Trudy the Blind Ghost in I See You, Not Really, But You Know What I Mean (Tony Award winner, Best Musical and Best Actress) and as The Coroner in Whoa Nelly, That's a Lot of Blood (Drama Desk Award winner, Best Set Design). Through a whirlwind of songs, stories and Broadway's special guests, Ruby will revisit her greatest career highlights and lowlights, from winning her first Tony Award, to her not-so-secret love affairs, to her recent recovery from a terrifying addiction to bagels. Ms. Manger is back from rehab, better than ever, and ready to reclaim her place as Broadway's shining Ruby with a thrilling and revealing evening at Broadway's Supper Club! Julia Mattison made her Broadway debut in the 2011 revival of Godspell, and since then has carved a place in the New York scene as an actor, singer, writer and comedian. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
