CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: SINGER-SONGWRITER JENNIE WALKER AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jennie Walker performs at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, April 7th at 9:30 pm. She is accompanied by David Patterson on acoustic guitar. Jennie is a singer who pens her own music and is known for her lush tones and brutally honest lyrics. She worked with Grammy nominated producer, Tommy Faragher, on her debut album, Night Flight to London, which was released digitally on October 3, 2011. Jennie Walker is an Advisor and President Emeritus of the Georgia Music Industry Association (GMIA) where she produced monthly music education panels, song critiques, Open Mic Night's as well as an annual Country Music Songwriters Showcase and an all genre Songwriters Showcase, during Georgia Music Week Festivities. She was awarded GMIA's President's Award for volunteer service in 1997. She has also appeared on top radio and TV programs such as WBAI 99.5 FM New York, HOT 97.5 FM Atlanta, Good News Broadcast, and Good Day Atlanta. She has been written up in China Today. Walker also helped to produce the 2006 charity album "Serve" for World Hunger Year and The Hard Rock Cafe, which features the artists Bruce Springsteen and Aerosmith, as well as numerous other top recording artists. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
