TODAY'S CABARET PICK FOR NYC: HERMAN ON HERMAN: PEGGY SINGS JERRY FOR SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Peggy Herman will perform her hit show 'Herman on Herman: Peggy Sings Jerry' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, January 18th at 8:00 pm and Sunday, January 19th at 7:00 pm in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hello, Dolly opening on Broadway. The show will feature Jerry Herman standards, with new arrangements set for Peggy by Alex Rybeck, with direction by Peter Glebo and Tommy Tune. Peggy will be joined by Jerry Lanning (older Patrick, Original Company of Mame) and Tony Sheldon (Tony Nominee, Priscilla, Queen of The Desert) on January 18th and Lee Roy Reams on January 19th. Peggy Herman has thrilled sold-out audiences around the world, performing at prestigious concert venues such as New York's Town Hall, on major cruise lines and at international resorts, to more notable intimate nightclubs including Feinstein's At The Regency and The Metropolitan Room in New York, and The Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach. Peggy has had the privilege of opening for entertainment legends Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Alan King, and Phyllis Diller. There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
