THIS FRIDAY NIGHT - CABARET IN NYC: JACK PHILLIPS RECREATES "CAFE NIGHTS IN NY" AT MAMA'S
Jack Phillips will be performing popular American Songbook standards as well as selections from his new original standards album "Cafe Nights In New York" at New York's legendary DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) friday, January 17th at 8:00 pm. Jack will be accompanied by Conal Fowkes on piano. Fowkes performs regularly with Woody Allen and the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band at New York's Cafe Carlyle on Monday evenings. Debbie Kennedy, who also performs often with Woody Allen at the Cafe, will be on bass with Klaus Suonsaari on drums. Suonsaari was Bobby Short's drummer at the Cafe Carlyle for fifteen years. "Cafe Nights In New York" is an album of original "standards" composed by Jack Phillips in association with Conal Fowkes and Eddy Davis. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
