CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: ROGER DAVIDSON AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
French born New York based composer and pianist, Roger Davidson will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, January 12th at 9:30 pm. Davidson has recorded five CD's devoted to Brazilian Jazz, including most recently a 2 disc set "Journey to Rio" (Soundbrush Records). He is regarded as an authentic voice of bossa nova and Brazilian jazz. His compositions and "expert touch" have been hailed by Brazilian and North American fans alike. Davidson tours and records in Brazil and performs regularly in NY with an ensemble that includes Brazilian drummers Adriano Santos and Marivaldo dos Santos (percussion) as well as Argentine bassist Pablo Aslan and Ivan Renta on saxophone.
