CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: SINGER / SONGWRITER STEVE SCHALCHLIN AT THE MET
Great music and a celebration of life, multi-award winning composer/lyricist/performer Steve Schalchlin brings his joyful showmback to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00 pm. He will be performing songs from his hit Off-Broadway musicals "The Last Session" and "The Big Voice: God or Merman?", his celebrated song cycle, "New World Waking," featured on his new album, "Tales from the Bonus Round". Steve Schalchlin (SHACK-lin) is the multi-award winning songwriter who wrote the scores for two Off-Broadway critically acclaimed musicals "The Last Session" and "The Big Voice: God or Merman?" as well as the experimental "New World Waking." He was recently profiled in the New York Times and appeared on the BBC advocating for AIDS education. The London Original Cast Album of The Last Session, starring Darren Day, will be released in early 2014, on Jay Records.
