TONIGHT IN NYC: BRAZIL + JAZZ: HOWARD ALDEN AND JEANNE GIES WITH CHORO DAS 3
Howard Alden and Jeanne Gies with Choro das 3 bring their show BRAZIL + JAZZ toTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, July 23rd at 7:00 pm. A funny thing happened on the way to Sao Paulo: the exciting young Brazilian group Choro das 3 jammed with 7-string guitar master Howard Alden and innovative vocalist Jeanne Gies. The result: musical magic, a unique collaboration of genres never before heard on either continent, and a mutual commitment to record and perform together across the globe. The Metropolitan Room hosts the US debut of this inspiring stylistic explosion. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
