NYC Based jazz vocalist Connie James brings her show "The Great American Songbook Then and Now" toUPSTAIRS AT VITELLO'S(4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-769-0905 - ) on Saturday, June 15th at 8:00 pm. James sings songs from George Gershwin and Cole Porter to James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Chaka Khan and more in the style of the great ladies of jazz. Continuing the traditions of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson and Peggy Lee, Ms. James is backed by some of New York Cities top studio musicians and is dedicated to keeping the great standards alive as well as adding her flare to "newer" compositions. She is accompanied by pianist, composer and author, David Pearl. Tickets are $15.
