NYC: THIS IS YOUR NIGHT - DAVID KENNEY AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
THIS IS YOUR NIGHT! is based on a classic premise that profiles a guest honoree who has contributed in some significant way to the NYC Entertainment Industry. It can include, but not limited to: photographers, writers, bloggers, press, promoters, management, publicists, directors, musical directors and producers. This month's event, held on Thursday, February 12th at 7:00 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), is co-produced by Bernie Furshpan, Metropolitan Room & Sue Matsuki, Matsuki Productions and honors David Kenney, producer, writer and host of the WBAI-FM radio show "Everything Old Is New Again", usually heard from 9:00 to 11:00 pm on Sundays. Each week David presents the usual blend of big-band jazz, swing, standards, showtunes, contemporary cabaret and celebrity interviews plus MEGA-MEDLEY MADNESS. Performers taking the stage to perform and honor David will include Karen Akers, Tom Anderson, John Bucchino, Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Mary Foster Conklin, Hilary Kole, Jay Rogers, Stacy Sullivan plus a surprise guest or two. Guest Speakers include Janet Coleman and James Gavin. Hosted by Bernie Furshpan, musical direction is by Barry Levitt. *A portion of the revenue will be given to WBAI.FM, listener supported, commercial free radio. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NEW HOPE, PA: "BOB EGAN & FRIENDS" AT THE RRAZZ ROOM
Bob Egan, a Bucks County-based musician, producer and owner of Bob Egan Entertainment brings his highly popular "Bob Egan & Friends" variety show to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027) on Thursday, February 12th at 7:30 pm. Bob continues the tradition of live performances he first introduced to the region 20 years ago as founder and producer of the former Cabaret at Odette's, the renowned cabaret that was referred to as one of the country's Top 10 in USA Today. Performers include Barbara Gurskey & Stephen Belfatti (with John Baxindine), Kathy Graham, Michael Traupman, Dwayne Dunlevy, Dana Coughlin with Bruce McFarland, Tina Margot, and Jerry Wichinsky, and more performers to be announced! Crazy Coqs cabaret favourites Jeff Harnar and KT Sullivan sing Sondheim like you've never heard before in their moving and powerful show OUR TIME at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, February 10th through 14th. As two of the world's most acclaimed cabaret artists, KT Sullivan (Broadway: The Threepenny Opera, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; Cabaret: Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, The Kennedy Center) and Jeff Harnar (Cabaret venues across the world including Carnegie Hall, and winner of the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award) perform classics such as Send in the Clowns, Losing My Mind, Being Alive and Pretty Women, introducing new takes to familiar and less familiar material. Under the musical direction and arrangements of gifted accompanist Jon Weber, they give a new insight into the timeless music of Stephen Sondheim. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites.
