CHICAGO: AIN'T WE GOT FUN AT DAVENPORT'S
Sam Helmstetter & Ben Brunnette present 'Ain't We Got Fun' at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Sunday, February 8th at 7:00 pm. The show is an ode to turn-of-the-century cabaret, a grimy musical revue that incorporates storytelling and song. You will follow Mack, a shell-shocked World War I veteran from Germany, and Marie, a French trust-fund-baby-turned-whore, as they recount their twisted love affair in post-war Paris. The unfolding of their story examines human connection and how finding love sometimes means finding someone just as broken as you. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
