TORONTO: SUNDAY CABARET WITH DOROTHY STONE
World-renowned soprano Dorothy Stone will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Sunday, February 8th at 7:00 pm as part of the club's Sunday Cabaret Series with Mark Camilleri on piano. Dorothy Stone is a United States Cultural Ambassador, having appeared in concert, Opera and recital on three continents. She has served on the faculty of New York University, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and is currently on the faculty of the Wiener Musikseminar in Vienna, Austria. She is also the President and artistic director of VoceDoro Productions, Inc. and the Campo Doro Vocal Institute. Upcoming performances include such diverse worlds as Opera ("Aida" in Buenos Aires and "Andrea Chenier" in Catania, Sicily) Symphony concerts in San Francisco and Eureka, California, Mexico and Stockholm, classical recitals in Pennsylvania, California, New York, Oklahoma, and Vienna and musical theatre/crossover evenings in Toronto, California, Pennsylvania and New York. She brings her diverse background, exquisite vocal color and unique style to "Bel Canto Cabaret" - An evening of Beautiful Singing. Standards and other beloved songs from a varied and rich vocal tradition sung with integrity, passion and Ms. Stone's classic interpretations. There is a $20 cover.
