Additional shows are scheduled for Sundays, February 8th at 9:30 pm and February 22nd at 7:00 pm and monthly through May 31st. Filled with musical and cultural insights into the sultry demi-monde of Harlem jazz clubs and speakeasies in the 1930's, "Drop Me Off in Harlem" played four weeks in October/November 2104. Now, just in time for Black History Month, Reid reprises the Bistro Award-winning show in a staging that continues to draw on his multi-faceted skills as an actor-dancer-singer. The show's band consists of music director Lawrence Yurman on piano, Damien Bassman on percussion, Ray Kilday on bass, and Trevor Neumann on trumpet. Reid, a veteran of several Broadway musicals, has emerged as one of New York's most captivating male vocalists. Reid received the 2012 MAC Award for cabaret debut, and the 2013 Bistro Award for Theme Show ("Drop Me Off in Harlem's premiere) while making a string of high-profile appearances at Feinstein's, 54 Below and Dizzy's. His most recent Broadway credit is "After Midnight." He also appeared in the recent NBC television special "Peter Pan Live!" starring Allison Williams. In "Drop Me Off in Harlem," he leads the audience on a guided tour of Harlem's nightspots - from the famous and notorious to the obscure after-hours joints favored by the musicians and their confederates. As he delivers songs by Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, and Andy Razaf (among others), a masterful picture of the time and place is conjured. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
