NYC: DISTORTED DIZNEE AT THE BEECHMAN FRIDAYS
Dallas DuBois hosts DISTORTED DIZNEE, an outrageous take on some of the most beloved animated classics, at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Fridays, January 9th & 23rd at 10:00 pm. DuBois and a troupe of fabulous drag queens will present a twisted - and very adult - journey, catapulting you back to your childhood into a Magical Kingdom where dreams come true. This 75-minute extravaganza features high-energy dance numbers, comedy, dazzling costumes and lip-syncing "ladies". Starring Dallas DuBois, Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Shenea DeDranke, and more! There is a $15 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
NYC: LOST MOON RADIO: JOURNEYS
Lost Moon Radio makes its first NYC appearance with an evening of award-winning sketches and songs on the theme of "Journeys" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday & Saturday, January 9th & 10th at 9:30 pm. Based in Los Angeles, Lost Moon Radio has performed at venues throughout the west coast, including San Francisco Sketchfest, UCB Theater, South Coast Repertory, KPCC's Crawford Family Forum, and the Hollywood Fringe Festival, at which they won "Best of the Fringe 2012." They were the hosts of the 2012 and 2013 LA Weekly Theater Awards. In addition to their eponymous comedy show, Lost Moon Radio has produced a stage musical, several television pilots, and three comedy albums. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: MARILYN MAYE: 7 NIGHTS OF "MARILYN BY REQUEST"
After New Year's Eve, the merry-making continues at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for seven nights between January 2nd and 10th, as Marilyn Maye launches into a run of her hard-partying "By Request" shows. Joining the preternaturally young Maye on her 15th Metropolitan Room engagement are her trio consisting of pianist/conductor Billy Stritch, bassist Tom Hubbard, and drummer Ray Marchica. "Marilyn by Request" plays Friday through Sunday, January 2nd, 3rd and 4th; and Wednesday through Sunday, January 7th through 10th. All shows are at 7:00 pm. Maye is in the midst of one of the most exciting chapters of a storied career. A nightclub mainstay, RCA recording artist and musical theatre actress in the '60s, '70s, and '80s, the "Best New Artist" Grammy nominee (1965) returned to New York in October 2006 after a 15-year absence. At the invitation of the late Donald Smith her epochal Cabaret Convention appearance segued into an unbroken string of sold-out runs at the Metropolitan Room through 2010. It is here that Maye built a new following, introducing an entirely new generation to the fun-loving performance style that once was the hallmark of large rooms and nightclubs across the country. The "By Request" shows have a hard-to-resist music charge of only a $35 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: LAYLA ANGULO LATIN BAND AT THE MET
A sizzling hot live salsa performance led by Seattle-based sax player and vocalist Layla Angulo will take place at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, January 9th at 9:30 pm. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Broadway's biggest belters celebrate the best-selling Canadian music artist in history, Celine Dion, in an evening of epic power ballads, and classic pop tunes at 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday, January 9th with performances ar 7:00 & 9:30 pm. With one of the most distinctive voices in music history, and with album sales of over 200 million, Dion is undeniably one of the most influential female artists of our generation. Audiences can expect to hear a wide array of Celine's greatest hits from her 25 year career, including "The Power Of Love," "It's All Coming Back to Me Now," "My Heart Will Go On," "I Drove All Night," and many more. The starry cast includes Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, "Smash"), Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Les Miserables), Ashley Spencer (Rock of Ages, Grease), Taylor Louderman (NBC's "Peter Pan Live," Bring It On), Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages, Bring It On), Kelly King (Top 20 'Billboard' recording artist), Ariana DeBose (Hamilton, Pippin), Donna Vivino (Wicked, Les Miserables), Adrienne Warren (Bring It On, Dreamgirls), Daniel Quadrino (NBC's "Peter Pan Live," Newsies), Hannah Elless (Bright Star, Godspell), Charlie Brady (South Pacific), and Jessica Vosk (The Bridges of Madison County). The band will feature Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello, Charlie Rosen on bass, David Cinquegrana on guitar, Shannon Ford on drums, and music director Benjamin Rauhala on the piano. The concert will also feature Rachel Mackenzie, Tara Minogue, Jeff O'Donnell and Jillian Soares on back-up vocals. The evening will be produced and directed by Rauhala. There is a $35-$80 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
