NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW
Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Comedy legend Joan Rivers returns with her her live stand-up act to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00 pm. Rivers presents an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, reality TV and award show fashions. Rivers delivers a raunchy, politically incorrect evening of stand-up comedy. A full dinner menu and bar are available, and pianist Will Hall plays from the time doors open until Joan takes the stage. NYC: 'EN AVANT!' THE TENNESSEE WILLIAMS EXPERIENCE
William Shuman's 'En Avant!' will be performed on Tuesdays, August 12th, 19th & 26th at 7:00 pm at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590). Winner of 2013 New York International Fringe Festival "Overall Excellence Award for Solo Performance", 'En Avant! An Evening with Tennessee Williams' is a highly personal one-man play that explores the family dynamic, the seminal work, the most important lovers and the demons that shaped the development of the man considered by many to be America's greatest playwright. Tennessee Williams was American Theatre for much of the 20th century. And though many of his master works continue to be produced, the legacy of the man himself is slowly being lost. Written and performed by William Shuman, En Avant! provides a unique view into the heart and mind of this admittedly "wounded man". Call for cover/minimum information.

Savion Glover, the legendary American tap dancer, actor, and choreographer makes his 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) debut on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00 pm. After making his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid at the age of 12, he has gone on to perform and choreograph all over the world in theater, television and film. He was the winner of the 1996 Tony Award for best choreography for "Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk". You will be enchanted by the sight and sounds of Savion Glover up close and in person as he taps the intimate 54 Below stage for the first time. Scott Siegel's critically acclaimed Broadway Bally hoo!, that regularly features great Broadway and nightclub stars in New York City is now presented monthly at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551), with the next event on Tuesday,August 12th at 9:30 pm. This ever-changing musical variety show, soon to begin its third year of performances, will play 54 Below every 2nd Tuesday of the month. For this show, Scott Siegel, best known as the creator, writer and host of Town Hall's signature series, Broadway By the Year (in its 14th season), again presenting some powerhouse performers: Gavin Lee. Willy Falk. Jenn Gambatese, Kevin Spirtas, William Blake, Xan Russell, Oakley Boycott, and Alex Getlin. Musical Director is Ian Herman. There is a $25/$35/$50 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
