WASHINGTON, DC: KEVIN JACKSON "CD RELEASE PARTY"
Kevin Jackson, guitarist, bassist, and producer from Baltimore who has been performing for over 25 years will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Wednesday, July 2nd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Jackson has been influenced by many musicians ranging from Marcus Miller, James Brown, Dean Brown, Sting, The Edge, John Scofield, Robin Ford and Keith Urban, to name a few. Jackson has recorded and performed with artists such as Jennifer Holliday, Oli Silk, Chico Debarge, Kenny Wesley, Marc Evans, Marcell and The Truth, April Sampe, and a host of national and local artists. Additionally, he was a guest guitarist at the NEA Award Show from 2009-2011 in New York and served as the Music Director for the Whitney Houston Tribute, Music Director for singer, Delletta Gillespie's live recording, and established the all-female band, Les Femme Totale. BETHESDA, MD: BUSHMASTER BLUES BAND AT BETHESDA BLUES
The Bushmaster Blues Band will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Wednesday, July 2nd at 7:30 pm. Bushmaster has been entertaining a wide range of people (8 to 80 so to speak), at a wide range of venues (roadhouse, backyard parties, to large venues and festivals), since 1992. Gary Brown is front man, guitar player, band leader, and composer: many titles/tasks for one man, all of which he juggles with ease. Gary loves being busy and there is no place he'd rather be than performing for music hungry people. He was named "Best Up and Coming Blues-Rock Artist" for The Rock Over America Magazine Music Awards for 2012.
