NYC: JONATHAN KARRANT: "ON AND ON"
Jonathan Karrant performs songs from his recent album "On and On" as well as a collection of some of his favorite jazz standards from the American songbook atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 pm. Some refer to Karrant as an amazing song-stylist who sings from the American songbook, an entertainer on his way to international success. Others say he paints a picture, he presents a mood and captivates a room through song. While only still in his twenties, he seems to have an innate and inside connection with music writers of the past, masters like Cole Porter (they share the same birthday), George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Johnny Mercer, to mention a few. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
