Award winning singer, Grace Cosgrove, is returning with her Laura Nyro show, the critically acclaimed "To Laura With Love" for 4 very special performances at the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) starting in September. LAST PERFORMANCE is Thursday, October 17th at 9:30 pm. Laura Nyro, the innovative singer-songwriter of the 60's and 70's is best known for writing such memorable hits as WEDDING BELL BLUES, ELI'S COMING, AND WHEN I DIE, STONEY END and STONED SOUL PICNIC. And, artists such as The 5th Dimension, Blood, Sweat and Tears and Barbra Streisand had major hits with her songs. Her pianist is Clifford Carter, who has played for James Taylor, Natalie Cole, Michael Feinstein, and Paul Simon among others. Her guitarist is Jack Cavari, the versatile NYC session and Broadway musician. Jason Di Matteo, her bass player, has traveled the world with Burnt Sugar, Susan Werner and more. Margaret Dorn (background vocals) has sung across a broad range of genres with artists such as Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Garth Brooks, Michael McDonald, and Manhattan Transfer.
