BOSTON: CELIA SLATTERY & BILL DUFFY AT THE ARMORY CENTER

Celia Slattery, along with accompanist Bill Duffy, will present open-mic at
ARMORY CENTER FOR THE ARTS(191 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA - 617-718-2191) on Wednesday, October 16th from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. There will be lots of open mic time, so bring music in your key. Celia will be doing a mini-set of songs from Tin Pan Alley, along with some lesser known jazz and contemporary show tunes. (wine, craft beer, light dinner and homemade baked goods available). Suggested donation is $6 for audience, $10 for singers.
BOSTON: GERALD ALBRIGHT AT SCULLERS

Saxophonist Gerald Albright will perform at
SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - ) on Wednesday, October 16th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Albright's contemporary and straight-ahead collections have established the Los Angeles-based musician as one of the most prominent artists. Indeed, Albright was one of the ten featured saxophonists who performed at President Clinton's inauguration. He was also featured at the Presidential Summit, as well as several private functions for the President. Albright had sold over 1,000,000 albums in the U.S. alone. His self-produced music features him on bass guitar, keyboards, flutes, drum programming, and background vocals. Dinner/Show: $70 Show only: $30.
BOSTON: MATT SAVAGE CD RELEASE SHOW FOR 'A BIGGER CELEBRATION'
Matt Savage will present a special CD release show for A Bigger Celebration atTHE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757) on Wednesday,October 16th at 7:30 pm. The show features Matt Savage, piano; Jerry Bergonzi, tenor sax; Bruce Gertz, bass; Richie Barshay, drums and Special Guest Mark Zaleski on soprano & alto sax. Pianist, composer, arranger, performer and bandleader, Mark has been connected with some of the biggest names in jazz since he began his career at the age of eight. Now age twenty-one, Matt has nine albums to his name, with a tenth album, "A Bigger Celebration," released in September 2013. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Matt is relocating to New York, where he's pursuing a Master's degree at the Manhattan School of Music. He balances a full-time career with graduate work. Matt describes "A Bigger Celebration" as a coming-of-age album ... and a celebration of life and youth. The recording, chronicled over three days in Boston, is Matt's most ambitious release to date. There is a $16 cover.
