Singer/pianist Bonnie MacLeod will be appearing on Tuesday, October 15th from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at THE NAPOLIAN ROOM AT CLUB CAFE (209 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA - 617-536-0966 - ). She will be at the piano playing all your favorite tunes. Guest singers and jugglers and sword swallowers welcome. Bring your music and what's left of your self-respect and join the fun. BOSTON: A NIGHT WITH LAQUANDRA SEYMORE
A Massachusetts and Rhode Island native, Singer /Songwriter LaQuandra Seymore wil perform at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - ) on Tuesday, October 15th at 8:00 pm. Also known as "Boston's Singing Princess", LaQuandra has been performing professionally since the age of 11 all over the New England area. She released her first EP in 2010 called "Whatever it takes "along with her first Music Video for "I'm Ready" in 2011 . LaQuandra Seymore is a 21 years old young songstress, she is currently a Senior at Suffolk University majoring in Broadcasting Journalism. Dinner/Show: $60 Show only: $20.
BOSTON: MIKE BONO GROUP CD RELEASE SHOW
Guitarist Mike Bono, now twenty-two years old, will release a new CD at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757 - ) on Tuesday, October 15th at 7:30 pm. Mike began his musical career at the age of 5, by making his debut performance in his kindergarten class playing "Yellow Submarine", by The Beatles. Mike was greatly encouraged by his family, and motivated personally to pursue the guitar because of his natural abilities at such a young age. While in high school he was performing regularly in pit orchestras, restaurants, and several jazz clubs throughout New Jersey. Among his many performances at that time, perhaps the most exhilarating was opening for jazz guitar virtuoso Martin Taylor in his senior year of high school, and then again in 2011. Mike auditioned for Berklee College of Music and was the first guitarist of the school's renowned history to be awarded a Presidential Scholarship. Since being at Berklee, Mike has had opportunities to play in several different groups, as well as leading his own band called "The Mike Bono Group" that plays all of his original music. The group recently toured in France as part of the Nancy Jazz Festival. They perform regularly in Boston, and New York at venues such as Ryles, The Bar Next Door, and The Middle East. There is a $15 cover.
TORONTO: MICHELE MELE - "DREAM" CD RELEASE
Michele Mele will present a CD release show of "dream" at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299 - ) on Tuesday, October 15th at 9:00 pm. Michele is on a roll. She's an acclaimed singer/songwriter with six albums under her belt. Whereas most jazz vocalists are content to cover bossa nova classics, Mele is driven to add to, rather than just draw from, the tradition. All ten tunes on Dream are new original compositions that fit seamlessly into the bossa vein. They confirm Michele's reputation as a masterful communicator, able to create melodies and lyrics that resonate deeply in the heart and soul of the listener. There is a $15 cover.
