CABARET TONIGHT IN TORONTO: MANDY LAGAN AT JAZZ BISTRO
Vocalist Mandy Lagan is featured at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299 - ) on Friday & Saturday, September 20th & 21st at 9:00 pm. Mandy Lagan's love for singing is clearly evident in her voice, as she brings a remarkable intimacy to the music, expressing sincerity and warmth in a delivery that comes straight from the heart. She has been exploring the repertoire of Joni Mitchell since 1980, and began composing her own material around the same time, followed by an immersion in the world of jazz standards. Mandy has assembled a superb band of accomplished, innovative, creative and really fun musicians. The program will include pieces from VERSES, (The Robert Louis Stevenson Project), along with some of Mandy's favourite songs from Joni Mitchell and various jazz and pop sources. Mandy is joined by David Occhipinti on guitar, Chris Donnelly on piano, Jim Vivian on acoustic bass and Blair Mackay on percussion. There is a $15 cover on Friday, $20 on Saturday.
