CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: STEVEN ZUMBO RETURNS TO DON'T TELL MAMA
Steven Zumbo returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursday, September 19th at 7:00 pm. As always, he will present an eclectic show of story and song. In a Steven Zumbo show you can expect to hear material from the American song book, pop and theatre songs and novelty numbers along with a mix of story-telling, both touching and hilarious, all perfectly blended into an hour long show. Gerry Dieffenbach is musical director, Helen Baldassare directs. Zumbo has appeared at Don't Tell Mama dozens of times in as many years as well as The Duplex and Eighty Eights. He is alum of the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Symposium where he studied with Julie Wilson, Tex Arnold, Craig Carnelia and the late Margaret Whiting. Steven Zumbo has also appeared on the Today Show with Katie Couric during her "dream job" segment and has performed with Tony Bennett and Ms. Couric at Caroline's in NYC. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
