CABARET TONIGHT IN  NYC: NANCY VALENTINE & FRIENDS PRESENT MUSIC OF BILLY STRAYHORN
The Season Opener Concert/Party of the DUKE ELLINGTON SOCIETY ) will be held at ST. PETER'S CHURCH - SANCTUARY(619 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-935-2200) on Thursday, September 19th at 7:30 pm. The event will feature jazz vocalist Nancy Valentine, with special guest Warren Vache, and will be accompanied by John di Martino - Piano, Neal Miner - Bass, Alvin Atkinson, Jr. - Drums and Joel Frahm - Tenor Sax. They will be performing selections from the Billy Strayhorn songbook. Refreshments will be available. There is no cover for members of the society - $20 suggested donation for non-members.
