CABARET TONIGHT IN MD: CHARLIE BARNETT'S CHAISE LOUNGE AT BETHESDA BLUES
Charlie Barnett's Chaise Lounge will perform atBETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Wednesday, September 11th at 8:00 pm. His guest vocalists are Marilyn Older and Tommy Barrick. As a film composer, Charlie Barnett's scores have appeared in more than four hundred television and theatrical films. His work in documentary film has won numerous awards. Mr. Barnett's concert music career includes worldwide performances of his orchestral and chamber works. He continues to proudly play with the eclectic lounge band, Chaise Lounge, whose second album is due to be released in early 2009. Marilyn Older has been singing professionally since she graduated as a music technology major from American University. She has been nominated for the 2009 Wammies as one of Washington DC's best jazz vocalists. Tommy Barrick can be heard with a variety of acts ranging from swing & jazz to Latin, funk and punk around the DC area. He's had the opportunity to perform throughout Europe and the United States. Other recording projects have led to DC Wammy nominations. There is a $20 cover.
