TODAY IN M.W.: BARBARA PARKER HELMER IN "ME AND MISS PEGGY LEE"
Barbara Parker Helmer returns to the KRANZBERG ART CENTER (501 North Grand Street, St. Louis, MO - 314-795-8778) on Saturday, October 2nd at 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 3rd at 2:00 pm. Her new show "Me and Miss Peggy Lee" is a tribute to a singer she holds dear. Music direction by Carol Schmidt with Ric Vice on bass. In her all-new show, Barb Helmer explores the legacy of Peggy Lee and takes on a trove of Lee's classic pop, including some of her signature hits along with a few hidden gems. Barbara was featured recently in The Orange Girls' There Is Nothing Like A Dame, and the original "Casual Cabaret". Barbara has sung in charity productions with St. Louis Showstoppers, Broadway Fantasies, St. Louis Charities Performances, and Gifted Productions. Call for cover/minimum information.
