TODAY IN L.A.AREA: PAT WHITEMAN BRINGS HER HIT SHOW TO PALM DESERT
After a recent standing-room-only performances at the famed Gardenia in Los Angeles, Pat Whiteman reprises her new cabaret act "The Mood I'm In" with one performance only on Saturday, October 9th at 7:00 pm at ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER THEATRE (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - 760-340-3220). Broadway's Jason Graae directed Ms. Whiteman's act, which is part of the Les Michaels Cabaret Concert Series, which has been running here since July and will continue through December. In addition to cabaret, Ms. Whiteman has performed in such productions as Into the Woods, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Pump Boys & Dinettes and Smoke On The Mountain, and her voice can be heard on national and regional commercial jingles. Michele Brourman, who is also the musical director for the legendary Amanda McBroom, will accompany Pat on piano. Tickets are $10.
