CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: TRANS FORMATIVE - SONGS THAT PROPEL US AT JOE'S PUB

Voice teacher and occasional producer, Barbara Maier Gustern and Downtown producer/performer Eric L. Schmalenberger present: TRANS Formative - Songs That Propel Us: A Benefit for New York Voices, Joe•s Pub•s artist commissioning program, and the Ali Forney Center. Two extravaganzas featuring stars of the downtown scene will play at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Mondays, March 24th & April 28th at 9:30 pm. The lineup for TRANS Formative is growing, and already includes legendary Performance Artists, Penny Arcade and John Kelly. Other confirmed performers are cabaret favorites Justin Vivian Bond, Lady Rizo, Taylor Mac, Tammy Faye Starlite, Amber Martin; Grammy nominated jazz singer Roseanna Vitro, actress/ singer/ playwright Eisa Davis, singer/ songwriters Our Lady J, Geo Wyeth, Carol Lipnik, Chris Rael, Nancy Magarill, Natti Vogel, Seth Bedford, Heather Greene, Susan Hwang, Benjamen Ickles; World Music performers Sanda Weigl, Sophia Rei, Sophia Tosello, Mai Hishaishi, Vlada Tomova, Dancer/singer Miguel Gutierrez, Burlesque performer Julie Atlas Muz; singer/ actors Heather Litteer, Angela DiCarlo, Viva Ruiz, Carlos Ponton, Louisa Bradshaw, Nicholas Gorham, David Sloane, Michael Cavadius, singer/ DJ Miss Guy, director/performer Rob Roth, and bands Pixie Harlot Machine Dazzle, Not Waving but Drowning with Pinky Weitzman and The Julie Ruin with the legendary Kathleen Hanna. There is a $30 cover.
