CABARET AT NOON IN NYC: BRIAN DE LORENZO: SINATRA, TONY, & ME

Boston's Brian De Lorenzo Sings the Songs of Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sundays, April 27th and May 4th at 12:00 noon. Following a performance of this show at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, critically acclaimed singer and Talent America's 2001 "Performer of the Year" Brian De Lorenzo moves to New York City with this tribute to two of the greatest singers of the American Songbook, Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett. De Lorenzo is equally at home in cabaret rooms, concert halls, and theatres including appearances at The Metropolitan Room, The Iridium, Birdland, 54 Below, Don't Tell Mama, and Eighty-Eight's, venues in Boston (Scullers Jazz Club, Club Cafe), Rochester (Downstairs Cabaret Theatre), New Hope, PA (Odette's), Provincetown (the Crown & Anchor), Chicago, San Francisco, and cruise ships in Alaska, the Mediterranean, and crossing the Atlantic. Brian has performed at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Conventions in New York and Chicago and at three Boston Cabaret Festivals. He has appeared in award-winning theatre productions including Lippa's The Wild Party and On the Twentieth Century, starring Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley and George Dvorsky. Other theatre credits include "Bob Cratchit" in A Christmas Carol at North Shore Music Theatre; "Max" in Lend Me a Tenor; "Zangara" in Assassins (voted best theatre production of 1998 by The Boston Globe); "Jinx" in Forever Plaid; and a tour of Esther in Europe. His CD "Found Treasures" was nominated for the 2000 "Recording of the Year" MAC Award. Brian can also be heard extensively on the Original New York Cast Recording "Made in America: Vaudeville Songs." He is also featured on the world premiere recording of the musical "Smooth Sailing." Brian is well known for finding wonderful songs that aren't so well known; and for his interpretations of standards from the Great American Songbook and musical theatre.
