NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD TO RELEASE DEBUT CD AT IRIDIUM
Critically-Acclaimed Actress, Author and Singer Molly Ringwald will appear atIRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121) on Wednesday & Thursday, May 8th & 9th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm as part of her nationwide CD release tour. Except ... Sometimes, the debut CD from actress and author Molly Ringwald, was released by Concord Records on April 9th, 2013 (international release dates may vary). An homage to the Great American Songbook, Ringwald has crafted a carefully chosen selection of nine standards which she caps off with her take on The Breakfast Club classic, "Don't You (Forget About Me)." The release of Except ... Sometimes will be accompanied by select tour dates as well as appearances in conjunction with the release of her bestselling new novel, When It Happens to You. Except ... Sometimes was produced by Peter Smith and features Clayton Cameron on drums, Allen Mezquida on alto saxophone, Peter Smith on piano and Trevor Ware on bass. Currently, Molly can be seen starring in the breakout hit The Secret Life of the American Teenager on ABC Family, and she is also on the road promoting her new novel, the national bestseller, "When It Happens to You."
