DC: BLUES ALLEY PRESENTS CASHANDRA J
CaShandra J. will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Tuesday, May 7th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. CaShandra's story began in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 7 where music began calling her through lessons on an upright piano. Her repertoire expanded to include the violin and clarinet. After some time of study she realized the instrument she found most dear was her voice. The arts never let her go. Photography, fashion design and dance all became skills at her disposal. The latter of the three provided her first "big break." While performing with a cultural dance company in Austin, Texas she was provided an opportunity to sit in with the house band. The responses from these sessions became the catalyst for her to pursue music further. Howard University is where she was led and left with a Bachelors in Music. An artist inspired through multiple mediums and genres, her style is eclectic, but always honest. Call for cover/minimum information.
