FRIDAY PICK IN NYC: "CHAMPAGNE PAM" IS ... DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL
"Champagne Pam" (Pamela Lewis) brings her new show toTHE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for three performances: Friday, May 10th; Wednesday May 15th; and Friday May 31st, all shows at 7:30 pm. Lewis offers an entertaining inventory of song and story as she checks off the list of a life well lived and loved. The show features a spectrum of sound from contemporary music to jazz, and is designed to pop with music lovers everywhere and of course, the cabaret devotee. Under the direction of the award-winning Susan Winter, Pamela will be accompanied by a full band including guitarist husband, John Hurley. In recent years, Pamela has been featured in a range of venues and performances, including music, comedy and acting - both improvisational and scripted. In addition to the singer/songwriter duo with her husband, Lewis fronts a ten-piece orchestra for hire. There is an $18 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
