NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA
Eric Comstock returns to his residency at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) from 8:00 pm to midnight every Tuesday night. An acknowledged master of the American Songbook, Comstock has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and virtually every important nightclub in New York and across the country. He is one of only a handful of singer/pianists who can command a room merely by sitting at the piano, singing and telling stories. In addition to his extensive knowledge of repertoire, Comstock has a seemingly unending supply of anecdotes about the songs, the writers, and the stars who sang them. His unique combination of musicianship, history and charisma creates an experience that is as entertaining as it is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they've been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: ROBYN MCCORQUODALE "DIARY OF A PIANO GIRL"
Robyn McCorquodale returns to NYC with her show "Diary of a Piano Girl", which will be performed at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, April 14th at 7:00 pm. The show is a multi-media presentation featuring songs, stories and seven continents! celebrating her latest CD, Sleep With Angels and more. She will be joined on stage by NYC's musical talents: Peter Calo (guitar), Ritt Henn (bass) and Chris Marshak (drums)! NYC: ORDINARY DAYS, A MUSICAL BY ADAM GWON
Ordinary Days, a musical by Adam Gwon, will be performed at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, April 14th at 9:30 pm. The musical tells the story of four New Yorkers struggling to connect. Through honesty and humor, we follow the journey of a young couple and two new friends as the pieces of their lives start to make sense and come together in unexpected ways. With direction by John Michael Diresta and music direction by Chris Rayis, these performances will benefit the Autism Theatre Initiative, a program of the Theatre Development Fund, which makes theatre accessible to children and adults with autism and their families. Cast includes: Stacie Bono (Avenue Q), Scott Guthrie, Eric Shorey and Natalie Neckyfarow. There is a $25 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
NYC: YVONNE CONSTANT: "WHAT NOW? A TRIBUTE TO MIKE"
Yvonne Constant, born on the left bank of Paris, performs her latest show "What Now? A Tribute to Mike" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, April 14th at 7:00 pm. Constant began her career as a ballet dancer, but because of her comedic flair and charismatic personality, the other dancers urged her to become a musical comedy performer instead. Yvonne was cast to play multiple roles for the Broadway production of "La Plume de Ma Tante" and won a Tony award. When she did "The Gay Life" with Barbara Cook, Yvonne received a New York Drama Critics Citation as on of the season's Most Promising Actresses. Because of her quick wit, dynamic personality, and ability to do repartee, Johnny Carson had Yvonne on his show a record 45 times! Richard Rodgers saw her on the Tonight Show and immediately chose her for a principal role in "No Strings". After "No Strings" Yvonne played the French au pair in the Broadway Comedy, "Come Live With Me". In the movies, Yvonne Constant is best remembered in Disney's "Monkeys, Go Home!" with Maurice Chevalier. More recently, she played the French chanteuse, Annette, in the television mini-series "Sins" with Joan Collins. In addition, she has narrated or dubbed over 20 French movies including the much acclaimed, "Parfait", and was also the voice of Simone de Bauvoir. In 2007, Yvonne was one of the stars in the City Center rival of "Follies" in New York. Yvonne's memorable one woman show, "Yvonne Constant Sings Yves Montand" was standing room only in theatres and concert halls in New York, Chicago, and Washington DC. Yvonne has sung in cabarets, hotels, and supper clubs in Europe and many American Cities to consistently outstanding reviews. In recent years Yvonne has performed in several cabaret venues in the New York Metropolitan area including The Reprise Room, Danny's Skylight Room, The National Arts Club and the critically acclaimed Metropolitan Room where she appears regularly always with constantly updated shows. Her music director since 2006 has been the multi faceted Russ Kassoff. Yvonne was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government, and she maintains residences in both New York and Paris. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: PATTI LUPONE - "THE LADY WITH THE TORCH"
Broadway's Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for an extended run that begins on Thursday, April 2nd and extends to Tuesday, April 14th. Patti LuPone's appearances at 54 Below have already achieved the status of legend. The two-time Tony Award winner returns to 54 Below with her critically-acclaimed show The Lady with A Torch. LuPone performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. The show is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, musical direction by Joseph Thalken, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman. Show dates and times are Thursday through Saturday, April 2nd through 4th at 7:00 pm; Monday through Saturday, April 6th through 11th at 7:00 pm; Monday & Tuesday, April 13th & 14th at 7:00 pm; with an additional late show on Saturday, April 11th at 9:30 pm. There is a $90-$155 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum.
NYC: YANNA AVIS: MAKE SOME MAGIC
With her new show 'Make Some Magic' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, April 14th at 9:30 pm, Yanna Avis takes us on a romantic journey through the landscape of love in her own continental cabaret style. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
NYC: NELLIE MCKAY AT 54 BELOW
Led by a trail of incense, Nellie McKay revisits some of the melodies from the 1960s in her new show at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, April 13th; and Thursday through Saturday, April 15th through 18th, all shows at 9:30 pm. Celebrating the release of her new album, My Weekly Reader, she will travel to a land of strange and wonderful musical delights with the grooved assistance of her magical band, The Cosmic X-Rays (Alexi David/bass, Cary Park/guitar, Kenneth Salters/drums). Nellie McKay has previously released five full-length albums, including Normal as Blueberry Pie. She has won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of Polly Peachum in the Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera and performed onscreen in the films PS I Love You and Downtown Express, as well as writing original music for the Rob Reiner film Rumor Has It and the Emmy-winning documentary, Gasland. McKay wrapped an extended run in the award-winning off-Broadway hit Old Hats, and has written three acclaimed musical biographies, I Want to Live!, the story of Barbara Graham, the third woman executed in the gas chamber at San Quentin; Silent Spring: It's Not Nice to Fool Mother Nature, an exploration of environmental pioneer, Rachel Carson; and her latest, A Girl Names Bill - The Life and Times of Billy Tipton. There is a $55-$110 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA
Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
