NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA'S

Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, April 11th, 18th & 25th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". NYC: ELLEN JOY HOFFMAN - MENKEN, SCHWARTZ & ME

Ellen Joy Hoffman celebrates the works of two beloved composers, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, April 19th at 7:00 pm. There will be songs from Little Shop of Horrors and Pippin to Sister Act and Wicked. Celebrate the magical works of these two great artists! Directed by Lennie Watts with musical direction by Tracy Stark. Ellen Joy Hoffman is a cabaret singer based in NYC who has been performed many solo shows in NY. She participated in the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University and has studied singing and cabaret performance at Juilliard, Singer's Forum and 92nd Street Y. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE FRANK DIBUSSOLO GROUP - SONGS TO WRITE HOME ABOUT

The Frank DiBussolo Group presents 'Songs to Write Home About' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 18th at 9:30 pm. Since 1965, guitarist Frank DiBussolo has been gracing concert halls and studios alike with his technical proficiency and smooth, emotionally astute style across the fretboard throughout a fortuitous career that includes collaborations and appearances with such greats as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Dizzy Gillespie. The eight-time Grammy-nominated artist has also developed a wide reputation as an expert educator with a genuine interest in the up-and-comers of the jazz world. Thus the Frank DiBussolo Group was born. Hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania, the band's members share a likeminded vision for cutting across generation gaps, proving those gaps arbitrary in the process by turning the tried and true into freshness incarnate. NYC: THE VALERIE CAPERS TRIO AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO

The Valerie Capers Trio, featuring Jon Robinson III on Bass and Doug Richardson on Drums, will perform at CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Saturday, April 18th with sets at 7:00 & 9:00 pm. Known for having some of the most entertaining arrangements in Jazz, Valerie Capers is always presents an amazing show. She can swing, she can play ballads with the best of them, she can certainly bop. And she can cook too! Valerie is also featuring some of her vocal selections this evening as well. NYC: THE UNINTENTIONAL MAGICIAN AT THE BEECHMAN

World Class Magician Stuart MacDonald brings his new one man show "The Unintentional Magician" to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 19th at 4:00 pm. This is his first NYC appearance. The show tells the tale of a Harold Lloyd type character who happens on some magic for sale and he gets pulled into a world of magic by touching one of the props. The deeper he explores the magic "stuff" the more befuddled he becomes by the miracles he experiences. Ultimately he is transported in front of a live audience where he is commanded to perform. The Unintentional Magician won magic's Best of Convention and is dazzling the performing arts community. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DISTORTED DIZNEE AT THE BEECHMAN

Distorted Diznee, is celebrating its 3rd year of shows at The Beechman! Distorted Diznee is an outrageous Las Vegas-style parody revue of some of America's most beloved animated classics presented on Friday, April 17th at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Be Part of Our World as a troupe of fabulous drag queens, including Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling and Bob The Drag Queen, takes you on a twisted - and very adult - journey, catapulting you back to your childhood into a Magical Kingdom where dreams come true. NYC: ROCK LE CABARET! AT THE CUTTING ROOM

Adrienne Haan's latest show, "Rock Le Cabaret! ", a Robert R. Blume production, will be presented at THE CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900) on Saturday, April 18th at 4:00 & 7:30 pm. The show takes French chansons by Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour, and adds an all new modern interpretation with a five-piece rock band. Combining monologues and anecdotes that have made history with insights of her own, the show is entertaining, fun, modern and intellectually authentic. The event will aslo feature works of acclaimed French artist Philippe Valy in the club and offer the opportunity to meet him prior to the show. Valy has transcribed masterworks that have embodied his own unique flare for the risqué with Peter Maxian pop. Former President Bill Clinton and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands are two of his many collectors. There is a $25 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: MARILYN MAYE SINGS SINATRA AT 54 BELOW IN 8 SHOW RUN

Popular vocalist Marilyn Maye performs a Sinatra-themed show at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for 8 show, opening on Friday, April 17th at 7:00 pm with additional appearances on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 pm; Thursday, April 23th at 7:00 pm; Friday, April 24th at 8:30 pm; Saturday, April 25th at 7:00 pm; Monday & Tuesday, April 27th & 28th at 7:00 pm; and Thursday, April 30th at 7:00 pm. Marilyn Maye is an artist for connoisseurs and her powerhouse delivery and chatty rapport with the audience is what holds the evening together and electrifies the proceedings. The aptly named production is an unabashed valentine to the late superstar, from the Super Singer that pays tribute to Sinatra's career with an immensely talented peer's interpretations of the songs that made Sinatra famous. It's a full-scale labor of love for another performer that is rarely seen from an artist of Maye's stature, and that is exactly what makes the show a must-see experience. NYC: NELLIE MCKAY AT 54 BELOW

Led by a trail of incense, Nellie McKay revisits some of the melodies from the 1960s in her new show at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, April 13th; and Thursday through Saturday, April 15th through 18th, all shows at 9:30 pm. Celebrating the release of her new album, My Weekly Reader, she will travel to a land of strange and wonderful musical delights with the grooved assistance of her magical band, The Cosmic X-Rays (Alexi David/bass, Cary Park/guitar, Kenneth Salters/drums). Nellie McKay has previously released five full-length albums, including Normal as Blueberry Pie. She has won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of Polly Peachum in the Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera and performed onscreen in the films PS I Love You and Downtown Express, as well as writing original music for the Rob Reiner film Rumor Has It and the Emmy-winning documentary, Gasland. McKay wrapped an extended run in the award-winning off-Broadway hit Old Hats, and has written three acclaimed musical biographies, I Want to Live!, the story of Barbara Graham, the third woman executed in the gas chamber at San Quentin; Silent Spring: It's Not Nice to Fool Mother Nature, an exploration of environmental pioneer, Rachel Carson; and her latest, A Girl Names Bill - The Life and Times of Billy Tipton. NYC: BETTY 29TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: PART 2 AT JOE'S PUB

BETTY, the alt rock/vocal band that's been harmonizing pop politics and passion for almost three decades, is throwing their first anniversary party ever - for a second time - on Saturday, April 18th ay 7:00 pm at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555). From spoken word to a cappella to roof-raising rock, harmony-singing songwriter musicians Alyson Palmer, Elizabeth Ziff and Amy Ziff perform globally - from NYC to India to Russia to South America and across Europe - in concerts that entertain the beejeezus out of audiences, while helping to raise money and awareness for human rights, women's equality, LGBTQI acceptance and for grassroots organizations working for positive social change. NYC: JOE'S PUB PRESENTS BRIDGET BARKAN: DEAR STRANGER, I LOVE YOU

After admitting her love addiction in her show "The Love Junkie" and coming clean in "Dirty Laundry," Bridget Barkan is shining her light on the community that has inspired her in this alt-cabaret variety show "Dear Stranger, I Love You" at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Saturday, April 18th at 9:30 pm. It will be a night of stories, characters, original and cover songs, improvisation, poetry and an array of eclectic guests, who were once strangers but now friends. A musical journey from bad love to new love, the dance between free love or committed love, the fight for self love and the ultimate infinite universal love that can bring us all together. Through the recent struggles in our city and global community, there is no doubt, it is time for the season of loving. Bridget Barkan is a native New Yorker who's been working since birth, literally. From child actress in commercials and on Sesame Street, to appearing in films like HBO's "Everyday People," co-starring with Maggie Gyllenhaal in "Sherrybaby," in Brian De Palma's controversial film "Redacted," most recently along side Phillip Seymour Hoffman in "God's Pocket," a guest role on Steven Soderbergh's show "The Knick," and a recurring role as the one legged hooker on "Law & Order: SVU." On the stage Bridget has appeared in various Manhattan Theatre Club productions, she was in the original production of "Dog Sees God", and a workshop of "Spring Awakening." As a singer Bridget has toured the world with pop/glam band the Scissor Sisters, sung with Lily Allen, and recorded with legendary house DJ and producer Todd Terry - as well as releasing her own albums and singles.
