NYC: MASON AT MAMA'S IN MARCH

Way back in 1982 DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) opened in the Manhattan Theater District on Restaurant Row. Two legendary cabaret stars opened the room - Karen Mason and the late Nancy LaMott. And now, 32 years later, Karon Mason returns for MARCH IS CABARET MONTH with her show MASON at MAMA'S in MARCH! Karen will perform every Sunday and Monday in March at 7:00 pm. Karen's new show features fresh arrangements of classics, new songs and music she and her longtime composer/ arranger Brian Lasser performed in the early days at Mama's. Musical Director is Christopher Denny and the show is directed by Barry Kleinbort. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MEMORIAL TRIBUTE TO JOE FRANKLIN AT THE MET

THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) presents a memorial tribute to the late Joe Franklin, on what would have been his 89th Birthday, Monday, March 9th at 7:00 pm. Hosted by Bernie Furshpan, this show was a planned show between Producer, Bernie Furshpan and Joe Franklin and his longtime Manager, Steve Garrin, well before his passing. We are deeply saddened by the loss of this beautiful man and will do this show as Joe would have wanted us to do. We will celebrate his life through stories and song and we hope that all of us bring a little piece of Joe so that we can memorialize him in a complete way. Performers iin the show are some of the people who were very special to Joe, and appeared on his show many times: Bill Boggs, Joe Sirola, George Bettinger, Jim Brochu, Ken Dashaw of Q104, Bob Diamond, Peggy Eason, Steve Garrin, Comic Bob Greenberg, Richard Holbrook, Judi Jourdan, Sunny Leigh, Quinn Lemley, Marieann Meringolo, Richard Skipper and Sara Zahn. Musical Director is Barry Levitt. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: DORIS DEAR'S GURL TALK AT MAMA'S

Marty Madden and Double D productions bring Award winning entertainer and actress, Doris Dear to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Monday, March 9th at 9:15 pm with her show 'Gurl Talk' along with a very special guest star, MAC award winning cabaret artist Shaynee Rainbolt. Doris Dear, has been seen on countless stages around the globe and in movies & TV shows like "The Carrie Diaries", "Boardwalk Empire" & "The Normal Heart". After her debut cabaret last fall at Stage 72, she is once again with the award winning team of musical director Rick Jensen, director Lina Koutrakis and Thom Hubbard on bass. Additional shows are scheduled for Monday, April 6th, at 7:00 pm when Doris will welcome star of the Broadway hit "Chicago the Musical" Amra-Faye Wright, and on Monday, May 4th at 7:00 pm, Broadway and cabaret star Karen Mason will join in on the fun! NYC: THE SONGS OF THOMSON & DESMON: REAL MEN SING SHOWTUNES

AKA Studio Productions presents 'The Songs of Thomson & Desmon" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, March 9th at 9:30 pm. Directed by Jen Bender with Musical Direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes, the show features performances by Randy Harrison, Josh Young, Chad Kimball, Katie Thompson, Tim Shew, Kasey Williams, Natalie Weiss, Jamie LaVerdiere, Andi Alhadeff, Russell Fischer, Tommy McDowell, Matthew Kacergis, Zach Landes, David Errigo Jr., Jillian Gottlieb, Greg Hildreth and more. NYC: VILLAIN: DEBLANKS AT THE BEECHMAN

Villian: Deblanks moves to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Monday, March 9th at 9:30 pm. You provide nouns, verbs, adjectives, desserts and body parts, and the cast provides the laughs - uncensored and unrehearsed - as it enacts the story using words you've put in their mouths. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," performed by some of the funniest people in New York! Like a ride to summer camp in the back of a station wagon, each eye-watering performance is ridiculously one-of-a-kind. There is a $15 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: THE CAST OF SIDE SHOW: ADDED ATTRACTIONS

The cast of the recent Broadway revival of Side Show reunites to celebrate this acclaimed production at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, March 9th at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. Erin Davie, Emily Padgett, Ryan Silverman, Matthew Hydzik, David St. Louis, and members of the ensemble perform favorites from the show, including a few songs which were cut out of town, and material which won't be heard on the Original Cast Recording. Hosted by Bill Russell, author of the book and lyrics, the evening will also feature composer Henry Krieger. There is a $50-$110 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: ITHACA COLLEGE AT 54 BELOW

Ithaca College's graduating class performance majors will take a respite from snowy Ithaca to make their NYC debut at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, March 9th at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Series. They will be joined by members of the historic Ithaca Mafia. Ithaca alumni who have conquered Broadway, National Tours, and beyond will perform along side the ICBFA Class of 2015, singing original works by alumnus Michael Mott as well as some of their favorite showstoppers. Featuring: Ithaca College's Class of 2015, Michael Mott (Where The Sky Ends), Joe Aaron Reid (If/Then, Curtains), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Bruce Landry (Cinderella Nat'l Tour), Shauna Goodgold and Lindsay Rider. Yjere is a $10-$25 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE(240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.

NYC: SINGER TREVOR MCQUEEN AT BIRDLAND

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents the return of singer Trevor McQueen in a brand new show, "The Sounds of '66" at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, March 9th at 7:00 pm. Following his sold-out Birdland debut with a 16-piece big band, Trevor McQueen returns with The Sounds of '66, drawing upon a year that produced music from Bob Dylan, Wayne Shorter, Stephen Sondheim, The Beatles, and everything in between. The concert will also feature guest vocalist and two-time Grammy award-nominee Jane Monheit, and a dectet under the direction of Angelo Di Loreto. Trevor McQueen is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He made his Broadway debut as Little Jake in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun. Trevor's love of music began at a very young age, while listening to Benny Goodman records in his neighbor's living room. He had the privilege of experiencing Pittsburgh's tremendous music scene while studying at university, playing with some of the city's most talented emerging and established musicians. Trevor has been consistently featured at Jazz at Andys at the Fairmont Pittsburgh for the past two years, headlining with such greats as legendary drummer Roger Humphries. There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.

NYC: JIM CARUSO'S "CAST PARTY" MONDAYS AT BIRDLANDFEATURED OPEN MIC EVENT

Every Monday night at 9:30 pm, Broadway impresario Jim Caruso hosts "Cast Party", a combination open-mic, networking event and party at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) during which the biggest stars on Broadway relax on their night off by performing their favorite songs in an informal setting. Cast Party is a mix of music, impromptu performance and cocktail party revelry, where showbiz superstars, stunning jazz talents and cabaret glitterati hit the stage alongside up-and-comers to serve up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle. It's the ultimate spot to mix and mingle with talented show folk and their fans. There is a $20 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
