NYC: MASON AT MAMA'S IN MARCH
Way back in 1982 DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) opened in the Manhattan Theater District on Restaurant Row. Two legendary cabaret stars opened the room - Karen Mason and the late Nancy LaMott. And now, 32 years later, Karon Mason returns for MARCH IS CABARET MONTH with her show MASON at MAMA'S in MARCH! Karen will perform every Sunday and Monday in March at 7:00 pm starting on Sunday & Monday, March 1st 7 2nd. Karen's new show features fresh arrangements of classics, new songs and music she and her longtime composer/ arranger Brian Lasser performed in the early days at Mama's. Musical Director is Christopher Denny and the show is directed by Barry Kleinbort. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: LATE WITH LANCE! WITH PETER MICHAEL MARINO
Peter Michael Marino s newest old creation, Late with Lance! , has returned and will be performed at the TRIPLE CROWN UNDERGROUND (330 Seventh Avenue, NYC) on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00 pm and Sundays, March 8th, 22nd & 29th at 7:00 pm. Meet Lance ... delusional cruise ship entertainer, celebrity stalker and pathological musical theater fanatic. After a 15-year hiatus from the cabaret world, Lance is back in town with his own brand of variety talk show. He s invited Liza Minnelli, Hugh Jackman and Miami Sound Machine to be on his show - and that s surely bound to happen. This solo show/talk show spoof with a musical theater twist features original song parodies, The Sound of Music performed in five minutes, an homage to the film Fame, and many more ridiculous surprises. Lance has suffered for his art. Now it s your turn. Peter Michael Marino is the performer and creator of Lance Jonathan s critically acclaimed cabaret spoofs All About Me! and More About Me! - which rocked the cabaret circuit in the mid-90s and led to a Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement and a number of MAC Award nominations. He is also the creator of Desperately Seeking the Exit which toured the world for over two years and recounted his tale of writing the flop Blondie musical Desperately Seeking Susan. In addition to directing dozens of solo comedies, Peter is the creator of SOLOCOM at The PIT which debuted 90 original solo comedies in November 2014. No reservations - pay what you can.
NYC: STING*CHRONICITY WITH ROSEMARY LOAR
STING*chronicity, with Rosemary Loar will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, March 8th and Thursday, April 2nd., both shows at 7:00 pm. The show offers a combination of monologues with a variety of musical arrangements of the music of the contemporary songwriter, Sting. The show is "set" in Madison Square Garden on the occasion of the final reunion concert of the iconic band, The Police, which was headed by Sting. STING*chronicity surveys the diverse audience, and their very varied interpretations of his music as the words of his songs are filtered by their unique lives and experiences. The show includes many of Sting's most popular and including "Message In A Bottle", "Moon Over Bourbon Street," "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take." as well as some lesser known songs, like "Ghost Story," a song from Sting's Broadway show, The Last Ship. Monologues were provided by some of New York's most impressive playwrights: Diana Amsterdam, Mike Folie, Matt Hoverman, Cheryl Stern, Robert W. Atwood and Rosemary Loar, plus a charming offering from 13 year old Mia Katz. Loar conceived, directed and starred in the popularThe Alternative Torch series at Symphony Space from 2004-2006. As a recording artist, she can be heard on Sting's soundtrack for the movie The Emperor's New Groove, the cast albums of Chess and Sunset Boulevard and on The Listening Library Series. Last year she release of her sixth album, When Harry Met The Duke, a tribute to Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen. Barry Kleinbort who recently received rave reviews for directing John Epperson: Show Trash off-Broadway is at the director's helm. Renowned jazz artist/pianist and arranger Frank Ponzio will serve as musical director and will be joined by jazz bassist Tom Hubbard. Ms. Loar's extensive musical theater credits include a critically acclaimed turn as Grizabella in Cats, Sunset Boulevard (with Glenn Close), The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (with John Larroquette in L.A. and Shuler Hensley at Madison Square Garden), You Can't Take It With You, and Chess, as well as Once Upon A Mattress with Sarah Jessica Parker. NYC: THE ALEKSI GLICK TRIO FEATURING VOCALIST RICHARD SAUNDERS
Aleksi Glick, a virtuosic guitarist and composer who draws inspiration from countless musical genres performs at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, March 8th at 9:30 pm. Glick's distinct musical voice and presence provides for a captivating listening experience. Aleksi is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, where he held the Charlie Byrd Memorial Guitar Scholarship. While at Peabody, he was the guitarist for the Peabody Jazz Orchestra from 2007-11, during which time he worked with several renowned musicians including John Abercrombie, Uri Caine, and Steve Wilson. Aleksi has had the opportunity to work with many other artists and bands, including BAAM!, Richard Saunders, Paul Bollenback, Andrea Wood, Vic Juris, Kelly Bell, Steven Fiefke, Benny Bennack III, Robert Leslie, Snack Cat, Alex Goodman, Sharik Hasan, Gene Golden, Generations, The Bailen Brothers, Adam Larson, Tara O'Grady The Brighton Beat and leads his own trio which commonly features many of NYC's best young jazz musicians. His work includes performances at Rockwood Music Hall, The Meadowlands, The Bar Next Door, Symphony Space, Mercury Lounge, Webster Hall, The Kennedy Center, The Music Hall of Williamsburg, The Bitter End, The Mainstay, An Die Musik, Fashion Week, The Plaza, The Bowery Electric, HR 57, and Turning Stone Casino. Aleksi has studied with world-renowned musicians including Paul Bollenback, Vic Juris and Don Braden. Master classes include work with Pat Martino, Jon Abercrombie, and Lage Lund. As a concert presenter, Aleksi founded and directs the concert series Newer Sounds at Hostelling International NY, which is now also acting as a booking agency. They now help book The Flatiron Room and The Bowery Electric. Aleksi, also helped present last Years Music Frees all Festival as well as few shows at CMJ and The Summer in The city festival. He also works with CEG Talent and LRock Entertainment which book countless other music venues and artists. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: FLY UP! WITH JOSHUA DIXON AT THE DUPLEX
After thrilling audiences in Scott Evan Davis' PICTURE PERFECT, Joshua Dixon returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, March 8th at 7:00 pm with his solo cabaret debutshow, FLY UP! Featuring songs by Rogers & Hammerstein, Bastille, Andrew Lippa, & Stephen Sondheim and others, the show will explore his trials, tribulations, and triumphs of growing up Mormon, or in fact, simply growing up. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Aaron Jackson (UCB) and Josh Sharp (UCB, Time Out NY Comic To Watch) host a gay show for all people at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, March 8th at 9:30 pm. The evening will be filled with songs and laughs from comics and queers and mostly people who are both. This month the show features Veronica Kuehn (Avenue Q), Liza Treyger (Comedy Central), Brian Faas (VH1), and Sam Taggart! There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: GIA MORA BRINGS EINSTEIN'S GIRL TO CORNELIA STREET CAFE
Nationally recognized actor and vocalist Gia Mora announces an east coast tour of her critically acclaimed solo show, Einstein's Girl. The show will play New York City for one night only on Sunday, March 8th at 8:30 pm at CORNELIA STREET CAFE (29 Cornelia Street, NYC - 212-989-9319). Einstein's Girl explores the "science of love ... theoretically speaking." Mora turns her signature wit and intellectual prowess on an unlikely pair of human languages: love and physics. In her hilarious show, she investigates interpersonal relations in the digital age through song and story. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Barnett will accompany Mora on piano. Einstein's Girl will play immediately after Cornelia Street Cafe's popular monthly installment of Entertaining Science where Mora performed in 2014. Gia Mora is a triple-threat performer and writer. Recent television credits include True Detective, Castle, and the TBS pilot Quality Time. Past solo performances include headlining at Joe's Pub and Metropolitan Room in New York City; Bethesda Blues & Jazz and Blues Alley in Washington, DC; and Room 5 and Vitello's in Los Angeles. A frequent featured soloist, she has appeared at The Kennedy Center, Catalina Jazz Club, and many more. She will release her second CD in March 2015.
