NYC: BETWEEN THE COVERS FEATURING ANASTASIA AND BLAISE
A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT

Anastasia and Blaise present an intimate show that elegantly and seductively intertwines alternative rock covers, burlesque numbers, and brilliant original music at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, March 1st at 9:30 pm. They bring a full spectacle, with costumes and dramatic sound, creating a whole new style of entertainment to the local area; a true tour de force of emotion and story telling! Their show is a clever showcase of how two worlds and two cultures converge into a unique show unlike anything out there! Eleven years ago, Anastasia immigrated to America to pursue her lifelong career and creative goal of becoming a professional music artist - writing, recording, performing, and hopefully achieving commercial success from, her original music. From a young age she trained and performed extensively as a classical pianist and a dancer, and by the time she was in the University she was writing, recording and performing her original pop and rock music from her debut Russian album. However, she knew that the real opportunity was in America --which is the market and culture that has been the home of so much music and so many music artists that she has admired. Since coming to this country, Anastasia has collaborated with songwriters, recorded with a Grammy-winning music producer, and performed at the Rainbow Room and many obscure venues --all in her efforts to learn more about the craft and creativity of the American-style pop and rock music. Blaise, raised in Monmouth county, NJ, crafted his musical and creative stylings in New York City. There he immersed himself in the worlds of music, burlesque, and performance art, resulting in the artist he is today. He has released his debut album, Dirrty Pretty Thing, as well as a follow up remix album. He has performed both of his albums all over the tristate area.
