She's Folks is a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll, a little bit stand up, and a lot of fun. Join Elizabeth Morgan in her irreverent celebration of Folk Music and some of its incarnations including Folk Rock, Country, Gospel, Bluegrass, Traditional Irish, and Blues at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Monday, March 30th at 8:00 pm. With the talents of Khaki Pixley, Sarah Bockel, Tyler Thompson, Tyler Core and Alex Newkirk, she will take the audience on a hilarious and poignant trip through her favorite genres of Folk and my childhood in rural Ohio. She'll take you to church and burn the barn while you're at it. It's the only show with a goat story and a Mariah Carey number. Lord have mercy on a country girl, who's tryin' to make a livin' in a rhinestone world ... It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world! (Dolly Parton) There is a $13 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
