TORONTO: PAULA GARDIN "TWO OF CUPS" CD RELEASE

Paula Gardin, a powerful and passionate professional jazz artist whose musical style has engaged many audiences across the globe, will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Tuesday, January 13th at 8:00 pm. As a trained songwriter, Paula communicates her life experiences through her music. Paula's first album, "A Little Rain Must Fall" debuted in 2009, garnering considerable acclaim in 18 countries worldwide. Two of Paula's original songs "Were you crying when you missed me" and" Jazzin' in me" were used on a compilation CD titled "Jazz For a Rainy Day". Featured with the likes of Ranee Lee, the album was distributed and well-received throughout Asia. Paula is thrilled to launch her second album "Two of Cups" at the Jazz Bistro. Recorded at The Drive Shed this past year with a group of immensely talented jazz musicians, the album is named after the Tarot card symbolizing love, and features five originals and seven covers, including an incredibly funky version of Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow." The album features the brilliant Nancy Walker on piano, Kieran Overs on bass, Steve Heathcoate on drums and percussion, Kirk Macdonald on saxophone, and is co-written and produced by Toronto guitarist and songwriter Louis Bartolomucci. There is a $15 cover.
