NYC: SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH WITH GABRIELLE STRAVELLI

Bistro Award winning vocalist, Gabrielle Stravelli, returns with her Sunday Jazz Brunch on August 11th at
LE PESCADEUX (90 Thompson Street, NYC - 212-966-0021), a French restaurant in the heart of Soho. They will play three sets from 12:30 to 4:00 pm. She will be joined by Saul Rubin on guitar and Pat O'Leary on bass in this charming
boite that offers a great, well-priced menu and cozy atmosphere. Award-winning vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following through her unique take on material from the new American songbook as well as classic standards by artists as varied as Pink Floyd and Duke Ellington, Dolly Parton and Johnny Mercer. A trained actor, Gabrielle has a soulful sensitivity
for the story in the lyric. Gabrielle has performed on stages from Amsterdam to New
York including Carnegie Hall, Iridium Jazz Club, Birdland, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Reservations are strongly suggested. No cover, no minimum.

have brought jazz into the 21st century. He effortlessly blends intricate melodies with stunning guitar-playing and musicianship and most importantly has developed a sound of his own. There is a $29.50 cover.

Patrick Hewan will perform atTHE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299 - ) on Sundays, September 7th, 14th & 21st at 11:30 am as part of the club's Sunday Jazz Brunch series. Patrick Hewan is a rising star in the Toronto Jazz scene who's energetic virtuosic playing captivates and moves his audiences. He draws on the vast vocabulary of the legendary jazz pianists who came before him and adds his own spirit and passion to create a unique sound and style. Drawing heavily on influences such as: Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Hiromi Uehara, Oscar Peterson, and Phineas Newborn while studying under the tutelage of legendary pianists such as Mark Eisenman, Brian Dickesnon, Richard Whiteman, Robi Botos, and Hilario Duran it's no secret where Patrick developed his unique, high-octane style that still clearly adheres to the art forms tradition. Patrick began studying classical piano at the age of four and was later introduced to the saxophone where he developed a great love for jazz music. His education includes York University and Humber College and he is a recipient of the Berklee World Tour Scholarship for both sax and piano. There is no cover.
