LONDON: ALISTAIR MCGOWAN AND CHARLOTTE PAGE AT THE CRAZY COQS

Alistair McGowan is joined by his wife, actress Charlotte Page, to perform Sincerely Noel, a personally selected medley of songs and poems by Noel Coward in their debut at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888), Tuesday through Saturday, September 9th through 13th at 8:00 pm. Under the crisp direction of Brendan O'Hea and with the skilled Musical Arrangements of Warren Wills, they breathe new life into some classic Coward songs and showcase some of his more obscure work. Songs include Mad About The Boy, Never Again, I Believe, We Were Dancing and Alice Is At It Again. Poems include the touching Honeymoon 1905; the terrible sadness of Reunion in which a husband and wife realise the damage that war has done to their relationship; Social Grace, in which Coward encounters an hilariously over-enthusiastic fan and the epic 'Not yet The Dodo,' in which two upper-middle-class parents are forced to come to terms with their son's homosexuality. Alistair McGowan is probably best known for his BAFTA-winning show The Big Impression, but he has also acted with The Royal Shakespeare Company and taken lead roles in West End Musicals Cabaret and Little Shop of Horrors and in West End plays Art and Pygmalion. He was part of the BBC's hugely successful Bleak House and is also familiar to younger audiences from CBBC's drama Leonardo. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: LATE NIGHT: RENATO D'AIELLO AT THE CRAZY COQS

Renato D'Aiello, known as one of the strongest and most beautiful saxophone sounds around, will perform on Friday, September 12th at 10:30 pm at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888). Renato will be playing with his quartet, featuring Hiroshi Murayama on piano, Dario Di Lecce on bass, Emiliano Caroselli on drums and guest singer Michael De Marco. His treatments of jazz standards, and originals, both live and on CD, have won great admiration from audiences and the press. Renato has studied with masters including Sal Nistico, Tony Scott and Steve Grossman. He has played with great jazzmen including Art Farmer, Eddie Duran and Kirk Lightsey. Renato has played in most major venues and festivals in the UK, as well as many destinations around Europe. As a teacher he has taught in many of the best Jazz schools all over the world. Call for cover/minimum information.
