BOSTON: THE ANTHONY FUNG QUINTET: CD RELEASE SHOW
The Anthony Fung Quintet will celebrate the release of their latest CD "Chronicles," atTHE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757) on Tuesday, September 9th at 7:30 pm. It was in 2013 when five friends, Anthony Fung, Edmar Colon, Mao Sone, Jonny Chapman, and Kyumin Shim came together to perform at Berklee College of Music. The vibe and communication amongst them came naturally and effortlessly. Later that year, Anthony Fung proposed the idea of creating a collaborative sound that focuses on storytelling through the diverse backgrounds of each individual. Since then, the Anthony Fung Quintet has performed at many notable venues across North America. These venues include: Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA; Nathan Philips Sqaure in Toronto, Canada; and the renown CBC Radio stage as part of the TD Montreal Jazz Festival. Most recently the group has released their debut record entitled "Chronicles," was has received much praise from their Canadian CD release tour. There is a $15 cover.
