NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW
Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

BILLY!!! returns THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 ) on Thursday, August 21st at 9:30 pm and Tuesday, August 26th at 7:00 pm. The show features Musical Director Drew Wutke on piano and Heather Wood on guitar. Fun with a capital F-U, this is not your father's cabaret! There is a $5 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: 'EN AVANT!' THE TENNESSEE WILLIAMS EXPERIENCE
William Shuman's 'En Avant!' will be performed on TuesdayS, August 12th, 19th & 26th at 7:00 pm at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590). Winner of 2013 New York International Fringe Festival "Overall Excellence Award for Solo Performance", 'En Avant! An Evening with Tennessee Williams' is a highly personal one-man play that explores the family dynamic, the seminal work, the most important lovers and the demons that shaped the development of the man considered by many to be America's greatest playwright. Tennessee Williams was American Theatre for much of the 20th century. And though many of his master works continue to be produced, the legacy of the man himself is slowly being lost. Written and performed by William Shuman, En Avant! provides a unique view into the heart and mind of this admittedly "wounded man". Call for cover/minimum information.
NYC: WILL & ANTHONY NUNZIATA RETURN TO 54 BELOW
After 4 consecutive sold-out concerts, Will & Anthony Nunziata are back at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, August 26th at 7:00 pm for an encore performance and updated version of their critically-acclaimed concert "Broadway, Our Way." The singers, actors and recording artists have won acclaim for their concert and symphony performances throughout the country and around the world putting their fresh take on pop standards, Broadway showstoppers, as well as contemporary and classic Italian music. "Broadway, Our Way" made it's Symphony Pops orchestra debut with the Cleveland Pops Symphony Orchestra this past January, and will be seen with the Annapolis Symphony, Firelands Symphony, and Edmonton Symphony Orchestras (to name a few) in the coming 2014-2015 concert season. Songs include fresh takes on "Come Rain or Come Shine," "This Could Be The Start of Something Big," "Being Alive," "Somewhere," "Children Will Listen," "Make Someone Happy," "Once in a Lifetime," and original mash-up arrangements including "Who Can I Turn to?"/"What Kind of Fool Am I." The brothers will be joined by their three-piece swinging band comprised of pianist and musical director Alvin Hough, Jr. (Motown, the Musical), drummer Jeremy Yaddaw and bassist Adam Neely. Rex Smith brings his show Confessions of A Teen Idol - A Musical Autobiography to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, August 26th at 9:30 pm. Every song has a story. Like a rock and roll Mark Twain, Rex Smith takes you on a wild and fascinating, sometimes dramatic, yet very hilarious, musical story-telling journey.
